A new generation of Escape

The Escape has been a staple part of our range for many years now. At its core an all-round trail tire, perfect for those who want to get off the beaten path, over the next ridge, and to the trail beyond.

As trail bikes and their components have evolved to mean many different things to many people, it was time for our R&D team to give the Escape an overhaul.

After countless lab and trail hours, we’re excited to introduce our brand new Escape Inter & Escape Max! Now available as part of a modular system with two treads, two casings, and three compounds.

Two Tread Designs

Inter: A fast and agile tread designed to go beyond the boundaries of Cross-Country, balancing trail ascending and descending proficiency. Made for those who yearn to summit technical trail climbs in record time.

Featuring a rounded profile with a tightly spaced 4 / 3 tread block configuration, promoting high rolling speeds and predictable handling. Ramped center blocks keep rolling speeds high with ‘In Block’ cornering blocks delivering predictable cornering bite. 

Max: An aggressive tread for those trails that blur the
boundary between Downcountry, Trail, and Enduro.

Designed to keep rolling efficiency high on the climbs, with
large side blocks featuring ‘In Block’ sipes to provide bite and cornering
confidence. Utilizing a staggered 3 / 2 / 2 center block pattern for rolling
efficiency, braking performance, and a predictable transition from center to
cornering blocks.

New Casing Options

Trail Lite: A supple, light weight casing for general Trail use, with a balance of weight and protection.

Built with our new generation 60 TPI casing fabric, designed to be supple and reliable; with additional protection in the side walls to help prevent cuts and
punctures.

Trail Plus: A reinforced mid weight Trail casing, for aggressive Trail use, with additional protection against pinch flats.

Built with our new generation 60 TPI casing fabric with an added bead-to-bead reinforcement layer, and butyl insert above the beads provides additional
sidewall support and increases protection against pinch-flats.

Multiple Compound Options

UHP: Our fastest rolling compound, focused on speed and durability.

GRIP2: A versatile compound offering a balanced blend of speed and grip.

GRIP3: Maximum grip in the cornering blocks, with a fast-rolling , more durable center.
